Bikes and the Beach

We live about a mile from the beach. What a luxury! About once a week (sometimes more often), the kids and I spend a good portion of the day at the beach. It’s far enough away that the kids don’t like walking the whole way there and back. Yet, it just seems too close to drive there (although we do drive sometimes). So, the kids have gotten used to riding their bikes. Lilia is a master on her little Strider bicycle (no pedals), and I think she’ll be ready for riding a pedal bike without training wheels within the year. Jedidiah is becoming a champ on his pedal bike. It’s great exercise and a wonderful way to spend time outdoors. Also, we get the treat of jumping in the lake once we get there! Here are a few pictures of our weekly adventure:

  1. Looks like fun to me! We are taking a 7-hour train tonight to the beach. I am looking forward to jumping in and cooling off!
