Pirate Party & Pop Pop Tom

Jedidiah had a swashbuckling fun 6th birthday party! He had been planning a pirate party for months, and he had quite a few expectations by the week of the party. Somehow, I think that the party really did live up to his expectations! He was dressed as a pirate (as were most of the participants), and he happily announced each activity – from walking the plank, to hunting for treasure, to eating the pirate-ship cake. But the best part of all was that Pop Pop Tom was able to come into town and celebrate with us! In fact, the birthday party just happened to be on Pop Pop’s birthday, so we celebrated his big day, too!

It was a great time with friends and a great couple of days with Pop Pop! We only wish we all lived closer!!

We are very proud of our six year old, who has learned many new skills this year – from riding a bicycle to climbing monkey bars to drawing pictures. We can’t believe that he is on his way to Kindergarten. What an amazing blessing Jedidiah Wake is to our family!
