A Day Off

On Monday of last week, Jedidiah had the day off of school. It was Rosh Hashanah, a Jewish holiday, and the Evanston-Skokie school district took the day off. All of us were thrilled to have Jedidiah home for the day. We decided that an outing would be fun, and then we found out about just the thing: our neighbor Adrian (Seth’s little brother) was turning 2 and having a party at a fun farm nearby. This farm (Wagner Farm) used to be a working farm, but it is now surrounded by the city and serves as more of a museum for children. It does have some cows, horses, and chickens. It also has a big barn with learning activities. And the whole thing is free. It’s fantastic!
